Graduate / Junior Software Engineer
Full-time · From $75k + super · In-office, Adelaide CBD · Reports to the CTO
Work directly with the CTO and founders on the stack that runs Good Thnx: Java Spring Boot back-end, React front-end, deployed to Google Cloud. You'll ship real code in your first week. This isn't a graduate program.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain backend services in Java
- Build user-facing interfaces in React
- Integrate third-party APIs and aggregate data from multiple sources
- Write code that's clean, tested, and easy for the next person to read
- Sit in code reviews and learn from them
- Debug and fix things when they break
- Improve the system. When something is slow, fragile, or repetitive, you propose a fix
Who you are — required
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar
- You've written Java and JavaScript before
- You understand RESTful APIs and NoSQL databases
- Comfortable with Git
- Strong problem-solver. You don't get stuck for long
- Curious. You want to know how things work, not just that they do
Bonus
- React, Spring Boot, TypeScript, or GCP experience
- Built something with automated tests (JUnit, Jest, Cypress)
- Touched a CI/CD pipeline
This role is wrong for you if
- You want a structured graduate program
- You need detailed specs before you start
- You see AI as cheating
- You need someone checking everything you do
- You want to specialise narrowly on day one
How we work
- Async-first. Written communication. Light meeting load
- Tools: Google Workspace, Slack, Perplexity, Google Cloud, Firebase, our own agent stack
- We document everything
- The person closest to the work makes the call
Campaign Operator
Full-time · From $75k + super · In-office, Adelaide CBD
Run every campaign end-to-end across our 13 countries and partner network. It requires timing, quality, partners, data, the lot. Some of it you'll do yourself. Some you'll run through agents. When agents can't do it, you do it yourself, and you make the agents sharper every campaign by feeding back what they missed.
If you're excited by a company that's reshaping how direct mail works at scale, and you want to be in the room while it happens, keep reading.
What you'll own
- Run the gantt. Every campaign hits its dates across briefing, intake, prescreen, QA, design, print, fulfillment, tracking, and reporting
- Run the data stack. Pre-screening, address validation, segmentation. Maintain quality across 13 countries and improve it every campaign
- Direct the agents. Assign tasks to the right agent, intervene when they break, route around them when they're the wrong tool
- Judge the output. Review what agents produce. Sign off, send back, or fix yourself. Make the calls without escalating
- Improve the system. Write Lessons after every campaign. Feed them back into the agents so next campaign runs cleaner
- Handle partners and stakeholders. Brief the founders on anything risky
A day in the life
- Scan every live campaign. Spot what's slipping
- Queue the agents on anything ready
- Review what they produced. Sign off, send back, or fix yourself
- Do the work agents can't
- Move campaigns through their phases
- Check in with partners. Brief the founders on anything risky
- Write Lessons at end of day
- Once a week, turn Lessons into agent improvements
What success looks like (first 6 months)
- Campaigns ship on time without the founders in the day-to-day
- Data quality improves measurably
- Manual steps get hardened into agents on your watch
- Volume grows without headcount growing with it
- Founders spend their time on strategy, not chasing campaigns
- You make the calls without checking
Who you are — required
- 2+ years running operations in a small, data-heavy team
- Genuinely good with Google Sheets. You treat a sheet as a database, not a document
- You've used a terminal before, even lightly. Not afraid of it
- You use AI tools in your actual workflow, and you've given them feedback to make them better
- You use Perplexity (or similar) daily. Not a curiosity, a habit
- Decisive. You'd rather make the call than escalate everything
- Detail-obsessed without being slow
- We'll give you a playbook. We expect you to spot what's missing and improve it
Bonus
- A second language is a bonus, not required. German or French most useful
- Worked with cloud-native data stacks (Firebase, Google Cloud, similar)
- Built internal tools, data pipelines, or automations before
- Worked with international fulfillment partners or 3PLs
This role is wrong for you if
- You want to source gifts
- You can't see gaps in a process
- You can't make calls without sign-off
- You see AI as a threat or a gimmick
- You want to manage people instead of systems
- You need a big team around you to feel productive
